Job Description

The Social Work Program seeks adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate courses in an accredited BSW program. Courses are delivered in a variety of formats including face-to-face, hybrid, online and virtual classrooms. Example of courses include generalist social work practice with vulnerable populations, case management, practice with children and adolescents, practice with older adults, practice with individuals living with intellectual and developmental disabilities, community and organization practice, introduction to social welfare policy, introduction to social work, human behavior.

  • Preference will be given to individuals interested in teaching at the UHD-Northwest satellite campus.
Requirements
  • Candidates must hold an MSW from a Council on Social Work (MSW) – accredited social work program, and an LMSW or LCSW issued in the State of Texas;
  • Candidates must have a minimum of two years post-MSW direct practice experience with individuals, groups , families, organizations and/ or communities;
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching experience in higher education an asset;
